The Leather Institute of Barvaria & Franz Hoffmann-Stuttgart Fine Leathers have developed what we believe is the finest truly archival/conservation leathers available in the world. These are available in both Goat and Calf. Franz Hoffmann's and BBWS are the sole worldwide distributors of this outstanding leather. Two formulations of this wonderful leather is available. One being the archival formulation processed via pure Sumac. The other being the archival formulation processed via Sumac and the addition of a 1% aluminum solution. There have been varying schools of thought on whether or not the addition of aluminum actually makes a more age resistant leather. For those who prefer [only] the Sumac process, we are pleased to offer BOTH! Every skin of ARUB bears the Official Seal of The Leather Institute of
Bavaria.
Goats average 6.5 square feet each. Calves average 15.0 square feet each. Both take dying and tooling exceptionally well. PRICE: 24.50 per square foot. |
